Lake Roland, northeast MarylandLake Roland Dam is on the Jones Falls River in Baltimore County, Maryland and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1861. Its normal surface area is 100 acres. It is owned by Baltimore Dept Of Rec and Parks. Lake Roland Dam is a gravity dam. The foundation is rock, soil. Though originally completed in 1861, the structure was modified in 1994. Its height is 42 feet with a length of 322 feet. Maximum discharge is 41190 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1867 acre feet. Normal storage is 1000 acre feet. It drains an area of 36.8 square miles.
