Lake Tejas, east Texas

Lake Tejas Dam is on the One Mile Branch River in Tyler County, Texas and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1950. At normal levels it has a surface area of 11 acres. It is owned by Colmesneil School District.

 

Lake Tejas Dam is of earthen construction. The foundation is unlisted or unknown. Its height is 18 feet with a length of 600 feet. Maximum discharge is 461 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 217 acre feet. Normal storage is 100 acre feet.
