Lake Worth, east Texas

Lake Worth Dam is on the West Fork Trinity River in Tarrant County, Texas and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1914. At normal levels it has a surface area of 5.6 square miles. It is owned by the City Of Fort Worth.

 

Lake Worth Dam is of earthen construction. The foundation is unlisted or unknown. Though originally completed in 1914, the structure was modified in 1996. Its height is 58 feet with a length of 3200 feet. Maximum discharge is 101760 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 96225 acre feet. Normal storage is 38130 acre feet. It drains an area of 2064 square miles.
