Leesville Lake Vacation and Resort Properties

Leesville Lake is the result of Leesville Dam on Mcguire Creek in Carroll County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection, among other things. Construction of Leesville Dam was completed in 1937. At normal levels it has a surface area of 1.6 square miles. It is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake property.

 

 

Leesville Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife enhancement. Leesville Lake is a popular camping spot for youth and church groups. Recreation facilities at the Corps Leesville Lake are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).

Two marinas are located on the lake, being operated by private enterprises. Clow's Marina @ (740) 269-5371 and Petersburg Marina @ (330) 627-4270. Both marinas have boat rentals, snack bar, and related goods and services.

Golden Age and Golden Access and other Federal recreation passports are not honored at MWCD facilities.
