Leesville Lake, northeast OhioLeesville Lake is the result of Leesville Dam on Mcguire Creek in Carroll County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection, among other things. It has been been there since 1937. Its normal surface area is 1.6 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Leesville Dam, also known as Leesville Lake is of earthen construction. The core is earth. The foundation is soil. Though originally completed in 1937, the structure was modified in 1975. Its length is 1695 feet. Maximum discharge is 19700 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 37400 acre feet. Normal storage is 19500 acre feet. It drains an area of 48 square miles.
