Lower Stony Lake, southeast MichiganLower Stony Lake is on Stony Creek in Macomb County, Michigan and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1961. At normal levels it has a surface area of 590 acres. It is owned by Huron-Clinton Metro Authority. Lower Stony Lake Dam is a gravity dam, of earthen construction. Its height is 32 feet with a length of 3500 feet. Maximum discharge is 7590 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 13000 acre feet. Normal storage is 5000 acre feet. It drains an area of 68.2 square miles.
