Luther Lake, east Texas

Luther Lake is on a tributary of Clear Fork Trinity River in Tarrant County, Texas and is used for recreation, among other things. It was built in 1947. It has a normal surface area of 11 acres. It is owned by the City Of Fort Worth.

 

Luther Lake Dam is of earthen construction. The foundation is unlisted or unknown. Though originally completed in 1947, the structure was modified in 1988. Its height is 40 feet with a length of 300 feet. Maximum discharge is 7064 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 295 acre feet. Normal storage is 218 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.69 square miles.
