Mahoning Creek Lake, west Pennsylvania
Mahoning Creek Lake is the result of Mahoning Creek Dam on Mahoning Creek in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and is used for flood control purposes. It was built in 1941. At normal levels it has a surface area of 280 acres. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Maximum discharge is 103000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 94000 acre feet. Normal storage is 9550 acre feet. It drains an area of 340 square miles.
