Medina Lake Vacation and Resort Properties

Medina Lake is impounded by Medina Lake Dam on the Medina River in Medina County, Texas and is used for irrigation purposes. Construction of Medina Lake Dam was completed in 1913. At normal levels it has a surface area of 8.7 square miles. It is property of Bexar Medina Atascosa Counties Wcid No 1.

 

Medina Lake, about 40 miles northwest of San Antonio, is an agricultural reservoir on the Medina River in the hill country of central Texas. It provides irrigation water, but it is also used for recreation.
