Michael J Kirwan Reservoir is formed by Michael J Kirwan Dam and Reservoir on the West Branch Of The Mahoning River in Portage County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and drinking water, among other things. Construction of Michael J Kirwan Dam And Reservoir was completed in 1966. At normal levels it has a surface area of 4.1 square miles. It is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake property.
