Algonac State Park![]() Algonac State Park's campgrounds will be closed for CMI Repairs until July 1, 2004. All other features of the park will be open. To learn more about the Clean Michigan Initiative, click here. Algonac State Park contains approximately 1,500 acres and has a half-mile of St. Clair River frontage. Home to rare habitats, the lake plain prairies and oak savannas provide places to view prairie plants, birds and butterflies. One of the park's major attractions is viewing freighters of the world along the St. Clair River frontage. Location The park is located on M-29 approximately three miles north of the city of Algonac.
