Mine Falls, New HampshireMine Falls Dam is on the Nashua River in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire and is used for hydroelectric power, recreation and drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1889. At normal levels it has a surface area of 242 acres. It is owned by the City Of Nashua. Mine Falls is masonry, concrete, a gravity dam. Though originally completed in 1889, the structure was modified in 1985. Its height is 20 feet with a length of 325 feet. Maximum discharge is 1700 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2938 acre feet. Normal storage is 1970 acre feet. It drains an area of 405 square miles.
