Mohicanville Dam, northcentral Ohio

None-dry Dam is created by Mohicanville Dam on the Lake Fork Of Mohican River in Ashland County, Ohio and is used for flood control purposes. It has been been there since 1937. It has a normal surface area of 20 acres. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

 

Mohicanville Dam, also known as None-dry Dam, formerly None is of earthen construction. The core is earth. The foundation is soil. Though originally completed in 1937, the structure was modified in 1984. Its length is 1220 feet. Maximum discharge is 20500 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 102000 acre feet. Normal storage is 18 acre feet. It drains an area of 271 square miles.
