Nehai Tonkayea Lake, northcentral Missouri
Nehai Tonkayea Lake is on a tributary of Mussel Fork River in Chariton County, Missouri and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1970. It has a normal surface area of 250 acres. It is owned by Michelle Burstreet.
Nehai Tonkayea Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Though originally completed in 1970, the structure was modified in 1995. Its height is 65 feet with a length of 1700 feet. Maximum discharge is 167 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 9100 acre feet. It drains an area of 950 square miles.
