North San Gabriel Dam, east Texas

North Fork Dam is formed by North San Gabriel Dam on the North Fork San Gabriel River in Williamson County, Texas and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1980. It has a normal surface area of 2 square miles. It is owned by Corps Of Engineers Swf.

 

North San Gabriel Dam, also known as North Fork Dam, formerly North Fork Dam is of earthen construction, rock fill. The core is earth. The foundation is rock, soil. Its height is 162 feet with a length of 5650 feet. Maximum discharge is 284000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 220100 acre feet. Normal storage is 37010 acre feet. It drains an area of 246 square miles.
