Leesville Lake

Leesville Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife enhancement. Leesville Lake is a popular camping spot for youth and church groups. Recreation facilities at the Corps Leesville Lake are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).

Two marinas are located on the lake, being operated by private enterprises. Clow's Marina @ (740) 269-5371 and Petersburg Marina @ (330) 627-4270. Both marinas have boat rentals, snack bar, and related goods and services.

Golden Age and Golden Access and other Federal recreation passports are not honored at MWCD facilities.

From New Philadelphia, OH, 15 miles east on State Route 39, then 4 miles southeast on State Route 212.

The things to do at Leesville Lake are boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, water sports and wildlife viewing. Visitors taking a northeast Ohio vacation can find camping spots, RV spaces or lodging facilities here. There's a picnic area, a store to get groceries and eating places.
