Pohatcong Lake, central New Jersey

Pohatcong Lake is on Tuckerton Creek in Ocean County, New Jersey and is used for recreation purposes. It has been been there since 1931. Its normal surface area is 37 acres. It is owned by Njdot.

 

Pohatcong Lake Dam is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its height is 9 feet with a length of 670 feet. Normal storage is 87 acre feet. It drains an area of 12.3 square miles.
