Construction was completed in 1951. At normal levels it has a surface area of 465 acres. It is owned by Southern California Edison Co. Big Creek No 7, also known as Redinger Lake is a gravity dam. The core is homogeneous, concrete. The foundation is rock. Its height is 233 feet with a length of 893 feet. Normal storage is 35000 acre feet. It drains an area of 1292 square miles.
