Savage, southeast CaliforniaLower Otay Reservoir is created by Savage Dam on the Otay River in San Diego County, California and is used for drinking water, and improved navigation, among other things. Construction was completed in 1919. It has a normal surface area of 1.7 square miles. It is owned by the City Of San Diego. Savage, also known as Lower Otay Reservoir is a gravity dam. Its height is 149 feet with a length of 750 feet. Normal storage is 49510 acre feet. It drains an area of 101.2 square miles.
