Senecaville Lake, east OhioSenecaville Lake is impounded by Senecaville Dam on Seneca Fork Of Wills Creek in Guernsey County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection, among other things. It has been been there since 1937. It has a normal surface area of 5.5 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Senecaville Dam, also known as Senecaville Lake is of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, earth. The foundation is rock, soil. Though originally completed in 1937, the structure was modified in 1982. Its length is 2350 feet. Maximum discharge is 11400 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 88500 acre feet. Normal storage is 43500 acre feet. It drains an area of 118 square miles.
