Seymour Lake, Vermont

Seymour Lake is on a tributary of Clyde River in Orleans County, Vermont and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1928. It has a normal surface area of 2.8 square miles. It is owned by Citizens Utilities Co.

 

Seymour Lake is stone, concrete, a gravity dam. The core is concrete. The foundation is soil. Its height is 7 feet with a length of 68 feet. Maximum discharge is 85 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 5200 acre feet. Normal storage is 3500 acre feet. It drains an area of 20.1875 square miles.
