Shelton Dam, northwest Florida

Shelton Dam is on a tributary of 10 Mile Creek in Calhoun County, Florida and is used for irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1976. It is owned by Shelton.

 

Shelton Dam is of earthen construction. Its length is 850 feet. Maximum discharge is 1800 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 80 acre feet. Normal storage is 60 acre feet.
