Sheridan Lake, northwest South Dakota

Sheridan Lake is on Spring Creek in Pennington County, South Dakota and is used for recreation and fish and wildlife protection purposes. It has been been there since 1939.

 

Sheridan Lake is of earthen construction. Its height is 134 feet with a length of 850 feet. Maximum discharge is 24170 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 22043 acre feet. Normal storage is 13395 acre feet. It drains an area of 148 square miles.
