Silver Lake, southeast Minnesota
Silver Lake is formed by South Branch Zumbro River Dam on the South Fork Zumbro River in Olmsted County, Minnesota and is used for recreation and flood control purposes. It has been been there since 1936. It is owned by the City Of Rochester.
South Branch Zumbro River, also known as Silver Lake is a gravity dam. Its length is 251 feet. Maximum discharge is 22849 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 400 acre feet. Normal storage is 215 acre feet.
