Sixth Lake, northcentral New York

Sixth Lake is on the Middle Branch Moose River in Hamilton County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1920. It has a normal surface area of 1.1 square miles. It is owned by Hudson River-Black River Regulating District.

 

Sixth Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 16 feet with a length of 335 feet. Its capacity is 10500 acre feet. Normal storage is 6657 acre feet. It drains an area of 17 square miles.
