Smith + Sayles Reservoir, Rhode Island
Sand Dam is formed by Smith + Sayles Reservoir on the Chepachet River in Providence County, Rhode Island and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1865. At normal levels it has a surface area of 175 acres. It is owned by Sand Dam Reservoir Assoc.

Maximum discharge is 785 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1450 acre feet. Normal storage is 875 acre feet. It drains an area of 8 square miles.
