South Relief Structure, east Florida

South Relief Structure Dam is on the South Relief Canal River in Indian River County, Florida and is used for flood control and irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1953. It is owned by Indian Rivers Farms Dd.

 

South Relief Structure is of earthen construction. Its length is 52 feet. Its capacity is 1280 acre feet. Normal storage is 900 acre feet.
