Anita Reservoir offers seasonal fishing opportunities for crappie, catfish, and largemouth bass, with 32 surface acres and 2 miles of shoreline. Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area bighorn Lake extends approximately 60 miles through Wyoming and Montana, 55 miles of which are held within spectacular Bighorn Canyon. Almena Diversion Dam is located 8 miles east of Norton, Kansas along the valley of Prairie Dog Creek in north-central Kansas and about 11 miles downstream from Norton Dam.
