Spring Fork Lake, west Missouri
Spring Fork Lake is on the Cheese Creek River in Pettis County, Missouri and is used for drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1925. It has a normal surface area of 128 acres. It is owned by the City Of Sedalia Water Dp.
Spring Fork Lake Dam is of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, earth. The foundation is rock. Though originally completed in 1925, the structure was modified in 1988. Its height is 43 feet with a length of 1600 feet. Maximum discharge is 4700 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 3104 acre feet. Normal storage is 1613 acre feet. It drains an area of 6906 square miles.
