Stampede Dike, northcentral California
Stampede Dike is on the Little Truckee River in Sierra County, California and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection purposes. Construction was completed in 1970. At normal levels it has a surface area of 5.4 square miles. It is owned by Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation.
