Structure 49, east Florida

Structure 49 Dam is on the C-23A and C-24 River in St. Lucie County, Florida and is used for flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1960. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 49 is of earthen construction. Its length is 67 feet. Maximum discharge is 4680 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 3420 acre feet. Normal storage is 1825 acre feet.
