Structure 50, east Florida

Structure 50 Dam is on the Belcher Canal (C-25) River in St. Lucie County, Florida and is used for flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1961. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 50 is of earthen construction. Its length is 231 feet. Maximum discharge is 4040 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1235 acre feet. Normal storage is 705 acre feet.
