Structure 60, northeast Florida

Structure 60 Dam is on the Alligator Lake River in Osceola County, Florida and is used for flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1966. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 60 is of earthen construction. Its length is 97 feet. Maximum discharge is 450 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 73000 acre feet. Normal storage is 43000 acre feet.
