Structure 65, east Florida

Structure 65 Dam is on the Kissimmee River (C-38) in Osceola County, Florida and is used for flood control and improved navigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1964. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 65 is of earthen construction. Its length is 520 feet. Maximum discharge is 11000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 730000 acre feet. Normal storage is 350000 acre feet.
