Structure 65b, east Florida

Structure 65B Dam is on the Kissimmee River (C-38) in Okeechobee County, Florida and is used for flood control and improved navigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1965. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 65b is of earthen construction. Its length is 188 feet. Maximum discharge is 14000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 7715 acre feet. Normal storage is 6170 acre feet.
