Structure 65c, east Florida

Structure 65C Dam is on the Kissimmee River (C-38) in Okeechobee County, Florida and is used for flood control and improved navigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1967. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Structure 65c is of earthen construction. Its length is 680 feet. Maximum discharge is 18000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 6100 acre feet. Normal storage is 5400 acre feet.
