Structure No. 28, southeast Florida

Structure No. 28 Dam is on the Biscayne Canal (C-8) River in Dade County, Florida and is used for flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1962. It is owned by Sfwmd (Past C&Sf Flood Control District).

 

Its length is 124 feet. Maximum discharge is 3220 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1247 acre feet. Normal storage is 1232 acre feet.
