T And P Railroad Lake, west Texas

Big Agua Reservoir is the result of T and P Railroad Lake on Big Aguja Canyon Creek in Jeff Davis County, Texas and is used for flood control purposes. It has been been there since 1931. It has a normal surface area of 17 acres. It is owned by the City Of Balmorhea.

 

T And P Railroad Lake Dam, also known as Big Agua Reservoir is of earthen construction. Its height is 56 feet with a length of 300 feet. Its capacity is 410 acre feet. Normal storage is 109 acre feet. It drains an area of 43 square miles.
