Thompson Island Dam, northeast New York

Crockers Reef Dam is formed by Thompson Island Dam on the Hudson River in Washington County, New York and is used for improved navigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1910. Its normal surface area is 36 acres. It is owned by Nys Canal Corp.

 

Thompson Island Dam, also known as Crockers Reef Dam is a gravity dam. Its height is 15 feet with a length of 736 feet. Its capacity is 1000 acre feet. Normal storage is 1000 acre feet. It drains an area of 3440 square miles.
