At normal levels it has a surface area of 35 acres. It is owned by Tupelo Bayou Watershed Improvement District. Tupelo Bayou Site 1 is of earthen construction. Its height is 48 feet with a length of 1449 feet. Maximum discharge is 5300 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 4242 acre feet. Normal storage is 163 acre feet. It drains an area of 10.2 square miles.
