Construction was completed in 1974. It has a normal surface area of 12 acres. It is owned by Tupelo Bayou Watershed Improvement District. Tupelo Bayou Site 2 is of earthen construction. Its height is 34.5 feet with a length of 1660 feet. Maximum discharge is 1888 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1191 acre feet. Normal storage is 44 acre feet. It drains an area of 2.4 square miles.
