Twin Lakes, northcentral California

Twin Lakes Dam is on a tributary of North Fork of the Mokelumne River in Alpine County, California and is used for drinking water, among other things. Construction was completed in 1901. At normal levels it has a surface area of 114 acres. It is owned by Pac Gas And Electric Co.

 

Twin Lakes is rock fill. Its height is 22 feet with a length of 1260 feet. Normal storage is 1300 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.8 square miles.
