Veto Lake, east Ohio

Veto Lake is on the Little Hocking River in Washington County, Ohio and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1954. It has a normal surface area of 146 acres. It is owned by Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division Of Wildlife.

 

Veto Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 36.4 feet with a length of 463 feet. Maximum discharge is 18130 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 4283 acre feet. Normal storage is 1071 acre feet. It drains an area of 19.94 square miles.
