Dam 3 is the result of Vischer Ferry Dam on the Mohawk River in Saratoga and Schenectady County, New York and is used for improved navigation and hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1913. Its normal surface area is 1.6 square miles. It is owned by New York State Department Of Transportation.
