Water Control Structure 2, east Florida

Water Control Structure 2 Dam is on the Canal Main No-01 River in St. Lucie County, Florida and is used for flood control, and irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1981. It has a normal surface area of 20 acres. It is owned by Ft. Pierce Farms Water Control District.

 

Water Control Structure 2 is Though originally completed in 1981, the structure was modified in 1982. Its height is 17 feet with a length of 36 feet. Maximum discharge is 752 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 60 acre feet. Normal storage is 33 acre feet. It drains an area of 10.8 square miles.
