Wenscott Reservoir, Rhode Island
Twin Rivers Dam is formed by Wenscott Reservoir on the West River in Providence County, Rhode Island and is used for recreation, among other things. Construction was completed in 1865. At normal levels it has a surface area of 78 acres. It is owned by Town Of North Providence.
Wenscott Reservoir Dam, also known as Twin Rivers Dam is rock fill, masonry, of earthen construction. Its height is 12 feet with a length of 320 feet. Maximum discharge is 1067 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 380 acre feet. Normal storage is 280 acre feet. It drains an area of 3.2 square miles.
