Wills Creek Lake, northeast OhioWills Creek Lake is the result of Wills Creek Dam on Wills Creek in Muskingum and Coshocton County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection, among other things. It has been been there since 1936. It has a normal surface area of 1.4 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Wills Creek Dam, also known as Wills Creek Lake is of earthen construction. The core is earth. The foundation is rock, soil. Though originally completed in 1936, the structure was modified in 1989. Its length is 1950 feet. Maximum discharge is 45800 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 196000 acre feet. Normal storage is 6000 acre feet. It drains an area of 842 square miles.
