Yahou Lake, northeast AlabamaYahou Lake is formed by Yahou Dam on Remount Creek in Calhoun County, Alabama and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1967. At normal levels it has a surface area of 15 acres. The site is also known as Yahou Lake. It is owned by Fort Mcclellan. Yahou, also known as Yahou Lake is of earthen construction. Its length is 400 feet. Its capacity is 259 acre feet. Normal storage is 168 acre feet. It drains an area of 380 square miles.
